FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern tennis team (6-3) will look to extend its four-match winning streak this weekend in two matches against Sun Conference opponents. The Sharks host Ave Maria (1-4) at home Friday at 3 p.m. and travel to face St. Thomas (1-4) Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Friday's match will mark and early Senior Day for the Sharks, as
Kamryn Blackwood (Farmington, N.M.) will be honored prior to the match as the team's only senior. Afterwards, NSU will look to win its fifth match in a row against a team that is a .500 squad on the road. Saturday's match will pit the Sharks against a Bobcats squad that has annually given NSU tough matches in nonconference play.
NSU has ripped off four wins with strong play at the top of the draws and by featuring its depth. Over the last four matches, NSU is a combined 8-0 in the top two singles draws and undefeated in the top doubles draw. The Sharks have also featured up to nine student-athletes in a given match.
